Maybo Consultancy: How we ensure real and lasting workplace change

Violence is a dynamic and often unpredictable risk that can be complex to assess and manage. The right training will make an important contribution to service delivery and safety but it will only be truly effective when part of a wider strategy that tackles the root causes of conflict and reduces exposure to risk. We understand that training is a means to an end, not an end in itself, and therefore must be designed and delivered in partnership with a wider strategy in order to achieve truly effective results.

Evaluation

The effectiveness of our conflict management and physical intervention training is monitored using a range of comprehensive evaluation tools. These can include surveys online or paper based surveys to capture staff perceptions of the risks they face and their confidence and competence to prevent and resolve conflict. surveying staff before, immediately after and 3-12 months after training enables an evidence based assessment of the effectiveness of the training. Similar 'before and after' assessments of incident data and service user feedback also helps both you and us to evaluate the effectiveness of any training.

Integrated approach

Our conflict management and physical intervention training programmes are designed around your organisation's specific needs and environment, ensuring full integration with your violence reduction strategy and general policies and procedures. We understand that training is a means to an end, not an end in itself, and therefore must be designed and delivered in partnership with a wider strategy in order to achieve truly effective results.

Violence reduction is our specialism and an area we continue to advise regulators, professional bodies and employers with regard to competencies and best practice. Our ultimate goal is to help you to create a safe and positive environment for your service users and staff.
