Highways Workers Use CCTV to Help Protect Against Abuse 

Stop-go boards and some site vehicles on highways in Cambridgeshire are being fitted with CCTV cameras in a bid to reduce incidents of violence and abuse against road workers in the County.

In the past year over 30 workers were abused by members of the public, who also ignore warning signs and drive straight through stop-go boards, putting workers, other motorists and themselves at risk.

The campaign is being backed by advertisements of local radio.
