Hampshire Council Launch Campaign to Crack Down on Abuse of School Crossing Patrol Staff

This is Hampshire, online news, has reported on a new campaign, lauched by Hampshire County Council to stem the increase in verbal abuse aimed at lollipop men and women trying to help children cross the road.

The campaign, supported by  Hampshire Constabulary, appeals to road users to be patient and remain calm, and is craking down on anyone abusing school crossing patrol staff. Incidents include drivers speaking aggressively to, and swearing at, the lollipop men and women, while they are carrying out their duty to ensure children and adults cross the road safely.
