Crime Survey for England and Wales - Results Released

Over 300,000 adults of working age in employement experienced work related violence in 2012/13, according to the Crime Survey of England and Wales. The figures reveal that 51 per cent of assualt resulted in injury.

Healthcare professionals and health and social care specialists had a higher than average risk of violence at work.

It provides an overview of the extent of violence at work in England and Wales and examines the nature of these incidents and the risk factors that may affect victimisation.  

The survey was first published in 1982 and gives an overview of the extent and nature of violence at work.
