Physical intervention for door supervisor licence to practise

  Security professionals have made Maybo physical intervention the most widely used approved training in the UK. By providing frontline staff with the skills for disengament, escorting and holding Maybo skills are now used in thousands of shops, clubs, events, hospitals and care homes around the UK. The course covers safer skills to avoid assault, disengage and hold and escort/eject individuals.

It delivers comprehensive knowledge surrounding the legal and medical implications of restraint and how to reduce risk.In addition to legislative requirements Maybo PI for security can offer modules on searching and additional holding.

After August 2010 new door supervisors will have to complete a unit in escorting and disengagement to gain an SIA licence.
         

Maybo physical intevention training is approved for use with the new SIA Licence-linked qualifications. That is -

Trainers: The level 3 in Delivering physical intervention training
End users: The level 2 unit in Physical interventon for the private security industry

Those individuals that hold a current BIIAB accredited certificate in Maybo physical intervention will be able to apply for the new level 2 unit without further training, as it is recognised as an approved equivalent.
